Privacy Policy & Terms of Use
1. About this document
This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use ("Policy") explains how Genefold AI LTD ("Genefold", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit genefold.ai and interact with our products and services.
Genefold AI LTD is incorporated in England & Wales. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through this website. By using our website you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
We take a minimal data approach. We only collect what is necessary to operate our waitlist and communicate with you, and we never sell your personal data to third parties.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Waitlist email address — when you submit the waitlist form on our homepage, we collect your email address to notify you of early access and product updates.
- Contact enquiries — if you email us directly at hello@genefold.ai, we process the content of your message and any personal data it contains.
2.2 Automatically collected data
- Server logs — our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) may log IP addresses, browser user-agent, and referrer information for security and diagnostic purposes.
- Analytics — if enabled, we may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to collect aggregated, anonymised page-view data (no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting).
We do not collect sensitive personal data (health, financial, biometric, or political data).
3. How we use your data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes and legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Waitlist communications (legitimate interest / consent) — to send you product updates, early access invitations, and announcements.
- Responding to enquiries (legitimate interest) — to reply to technical or commercial questions you raise with us.
- Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interest) — to detect and prevent spam, abuse, and unauthorised access.
- Legal compliance (legal obligation) — to meet any applicable laws, regulations, or court orders.
We do not use your email address for third-party advertising or sell it to data brokers.
4. Cookies & tracking
Our website uses a minimal set of cookies. You can manage your preferences via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, or by adjusting your browser settings.

These cookies are essential for the website to function. They do not require your consent. They include security tokens and session management cookies set by our infrastructure.
4.2 Preference cookies (optional)
We store your cookie consent choice in a browser cookie (gf_cookie_consent) so we do not ask you again on subsequent visits. This cookie expires after 12 months.
4.3 Analytics cookies (optional, consent required)
If you accept analytics cookies, we may use an anonymising analytics service to understand how visitors use the site. No personally identifiable data is stored. You can withdraw consent at any time using the link in the footer.
